Cherish Forever - a love card

Valentines Day is coming up so I'm getting into the swing of making some lovey things.
Here is the first I made tonight.

The front of the card is made mainly of rub ons and decorated card that I purchased from kmart in a "Matters of the Heart" pack which is actually quite good and was very well priced.

Inside the card is lipstick kisses background, the word 'adore' rubbed onto the left hand side and the word 'love' spelt out in aged glass tiles down the bottom. I really like this one.

Birthday Pirate

So I don't have much boy-ish scrapbooking stuff but I attempted one today. All I need to finish it off is a black skull and crossbones to go on the front above the 'birthday!'

The birthday word by the way is fabric stick on stickers. The inside is brown pirate paper with a lighter brown card stock stuck there for writing a message on. A few rub ons with the words fun, wild and mischief provide a bit of interest for the inside of the card.

I'm not sure what I could have done with the inside to make it more interesting...

Blue Card - Orange Flower: Card Stock

Evening all, just another card to add to the stock. It's not yet personalised on the front of the card. I plan to put the persons name up the top above the flower motive on the front cover. All my cards are made of standard scrapbooking paper stuck onto 200 gsm cardboard to keep them stiff.

Ella's Second Birthday Card

So many birthdays in the first part of the year it's insane. I made my Dad's card which you saw last time, and this afternoon I dedicated to making a card for my neice's second birthday. She LOVES ponies hence the little bit of the pony theme. I wasn't actually going to go this way, I was going to make a very bright and colourful typical kids card but somehow the pink tookover (that's my fault!)

Anyway, here is the description:

The front actually has a white border on the left hand side but I'm disappointed that it didn't come out better. Her name 'Ella' is rubbed on with Gold Glitter letters, and encased in a border from the miniMARKS Amercian Crafts brand. Rub on heart/flower and a die cut of a pony.

The Middle pages (only one shown) are rubons of bluebird and a beauty crown (can't remember the brand) and diamond glitter stickons. The other page has a bluebird and more of the same thing with flowers and bubble with a message from us to Ella.

The back is stamped with my 'handmade for you by' stamp...

And the envelope has more die cut ponies, flowers, a glitter stick on dragonfly, foam stick on letters and a doll I found in a craft shop.
Hope she likes it!!!

Dads birthday card

It's my Dads birthday coming up soon and I thought I'd make him a birthday card. It's been SO LONG since I've made any cards that I was a bit unsure about how it would turn out. I'm kind of happy with it, it's good enough to give him, but I thought the first 'page' would turn out better than it did.
What do you think?

As you can see they are not put together yet. I'm using a silver star stud to put in the top left hand corner so it's like a little swing booklet to hold it all together.

It's a bit hot to be making fimo today (the polymer clay gets too soft) so I'll give that a miss. Perhaps next weekend!

More Bows

Okay so these are the last of the photos of current fimo work that I've done.  The yellow and green bows are much smaller than the red bow (which is the same size as the orange bow) and I think I like them better.  When I get a chance I want to make some more button clips, and try hearts, stars and flowers!

bUTTON cLIPs

Here are two 'button clips' that I finished glazing and glueing tonight.  Again, made of polymer clay.  They are around the size of a 10c piece and oh so freaking cute.

Do you like them?

Fun with Fimo

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I FORGOT totally about this particular journal!  I suppose that I went off being creative for a little while. Okay, well a long while.  To be honest, I had a bit of a falling out with a person whom was very creative and would often inspire me to create my own work.  So I suppose I hadn't felt like it in a while. But I HAVE been doing some creative stuff lately, in particular experimenting with Fimo.  Don't know what it is? It's polymer clay basically that's coloured.  A little like plasticine, but you bake it in the oven and it turns hard.

So anyway, my first practice was a bow (because I just love bows and ribbons) and so whilst it won't be my BEST one yet, it's my first and I think it's really cute.  After I baked the Fimo, I then sprayed it with clear glazing craft spray to get the 'shine'. (Fimo bakes matt).  I tried craft glue to stick it onto Mary Jane clips, but it didn't work...so the superglue came out!  It seems to have worked, but time will tell. If anyone has any suggestions for glue I might try please let me know.

Anyway here are the pictures.

Closeup, you can see the detail.  I was a little careless with the glue though as you can see underneath.

You can't see the detail on this one but you can see the clip that I stuck it too.

Well, I hope that I get back into the creative swing of things, and look forward to seeing what everyone else has been up to!

A little update too.

Just done an update of some recent ATCs I've done. Haven't made them particulary for any swaps in mind, but just for myself right now.  Might join an ATC receivers choice at some stage.  I like those swaps the best.

Cheers for now.

ATC story: "as she lent into me"

I really like making these kind. I make little mini stories or poems then put rub ons over the top.  Also I use kindy glitz to add a little extra sparkle, and of course some nice borders.
The effect is really quite good.

Christening Card for a friends son

I really enjoyed making this one, because it was for someone I really know.  I made the envelope too.  (A PROPER one!)
Apologies for the bad shadows on the photos.
